• User-Generated Content: We securely store your garden layouts, plant inventory lists, and Scrapbook photos/captions so you can access them across your devices.
• Technical & Log Data: For security and abuse prevention, we automatically collect your IP address when you interact with the Service (such as uploading an image). We also collect standard browser data and cookies necessary to keep you logged in.
• Payment Information: If you subscribe, your payment details are processed directly by our secure payment provider (Square). We do not collect, process, or store your full credit card number on our servers.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect primarily to provide and improve the Service:

• To create and manage your account and subscription.
• To generate personalized horticultural insights (like Frost Warnings and Native Plant checks) based on your location.
• To securely host your Garden Scrapbook photos and layouts.
• To communicate with you regarding account updates, billing issues, or customer support inquiries.
• To monitor the security of our platform and prevent unauthorized access or abuse.

3. Artificial Intelligence and Third-Party Sharing

We do not sell your personal data to data brokers. However, we do share specific data with trusted third-party service providers solely to operate the Service:

• Google AI (Gemini): When you use the "Plant Doctor" or request a "Smart Care Sheet," the plant name and/or the image you upload is sent to Google's AI APIs for botanical analysis. Please do not upload images containing faces, license plates, or sensitive personal information to the Plant Doctor.
• DigitalOcean Spaces: Your Scrapbook photos are stored securely in encrypted, private cloud storage provided by DigitalOcean. Access to these photos is restricted to your account via temporary, expiring secure links.
• Square Payments: Your email address and billing details are securely transmitted to Square for subscription management and fraud prevention.

4. Data Deletion and Retention

We believe you should have control over your digital footprint. Our platform utilizes a "Hard Delete" policy for user-generated content:

• Scrapbook Photos: When you delete a photo from your Scrapbook, it is immediately and permanently purged from our database and our cloud storage providers. It cannot be recovered.
• Account Deletion: If you wish to permanently delete your entire account and all associated garden layouts, inventory, and photos, please contact our support team.

We may retain basic transaction data (such as billing history) as required by law for accounting and tax purposes.

5. Children's Privacy

Our Service is not directed to individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you become aware that a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately so we can take steps to remove such information and terminate the account.
